I've recently re-shot a scene from a feature I'm working on and used the EX1. I used the EX to AVID ffmpeg wrapper from your site to convert all the files to .mov files. Which was successful. Problem I'm having is that when I import to AVID, any file that is under 4gb will import without any problem, but any file over 4gb and AVID gives me an error saying file not supported for import...

Additionally when I try to play the a clip under 4gb in length with QT it plays fine, anything over and it say, QT does not support this file.?

Do you have any idea what my solution would be. I've tried importing to both Fat32 and NTFS drives. (thinking that it was the Fat32 4gb size limit) and had the same result...

Additionally I thought of splitting the files in QT, but unless they play in QT, I can't split them...

Could you think of anything else I could do.

As I said any file under 4gb works perfectly and imports into AVID effortlessly.

I'm feeling stressed.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Thank you for posting a work around. I tried using the wrapper, but have hit a snag. Maybe someone can help me. I select the clip, select the format and away it goes. Window pops up, video is playing through then at the end it just stops and the last bit of audio repeats indefinitly. A clip is not created out of the process, it isn't where the directory says it should be going. Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks

If you set your import settings in Avid properly (maintain, square pixels and 709 color space), Avid will Fast Import your quicktime with no additional transcoding (besides the mp4 to quicktime translation). This isn't an Avid product and it's the first version, so use at your own risk. That said, it's worked successfully for me for getting footage into MCSoft on both PC & Mac and also into a Nitris.

If they point out that there is a special clause then they are fine but they don't. And other web hotels that are more expensive do have real free traffic without any limits. This is a scam to get customers only and they should remove the word "free traffic" from their front and sell pages.
